doorstep, it's time to gear up for the impending shopping season. One business
owner is challenging others to make a world-wide impact through "Room to Read."
Room to Read partners with local communities throughout the developing world to
establish schools, libraries, and other educational infrastructures world-wide.

Spencer is donating $250 from her own company to help a child go to school for one
year. "I couldn't believe such a small amount would make a difference, but it
does."
She doesn't want to stop there. Spencer is asking other businesses, schools and
individuals to combine efforts to raise $8,000 . "With $8,000, we could create a
library that would help hundreds of children get an education," she says.
Spencer hopes the fundraising will lift spirits. "It gives everyone a stake in
improving people's lives all around the world in a very tangible way." Spencer
hopes there will be enough for a library. "Creating a whole library for $8,000 ??
Talk about a happy holiday! I think we can do it!"
